Although criticized for lack of text features, I find this Weigl series on Canadian provinces and territories to be useful. Very short text with a table of contents, clear photographs and bright text boxes make for an easier read for your students doing research.┬áIt is also refreshing to have a newer easy-to-read Canada series since the All About… one published in the 1990’s.

This is such a gorgeous book – the paintings are incredible. A young girl lives in a trailer in Saskatchewan. Before she moves with her family to Toronto, she takes stock of her home and everything she knows about it.

A great book to launch of projects or discussions about community and Canada.
