The One and Only Ivan was inspired by a real life mountain gorilla living in a shopping mall.
Ivan lives in a shopping mall along with Stella the elephant and Bob, a stray dog. Ivan isn’t the big attraction he once was, so his owner acquires Ruby, a cute baby elephant who helps Ivan see that living in a cage isn’t as great as he once thought. A strong animal rights message. Great for discussion or launching social responsibility projects.
